| | | BNC takes pride to announce that we have formed a strategic partnership with Melia Hotel to organise the 1st BNC Melia Hotel Charity Lantern Festival. The unique function will be held on Sunday 18 September 2005 from 11.00am to 2.30pm at the Melia Hotel Ballroom. The Guest Of Honour will be our BNC Patron, YBhg Tan Sri Datuk Dr Augustine SH Ong and the invited beneficiaries are the deserving children from the Bethesda Childrens' Mission Home, Rawang and the House Of Joy, Puchong. The Hotel has unstintedly sponsored the venue and facilities as well as provide a sumptuous Charity Lunch to all participants. Tai Thong Restaurants has agreed to sponsor the Mooncakes through their Spring Court Restaurant and Khee Sang Co has pledged donating the sweets and tidbits.
The interesting programme includes a Lion Dance by Chin Woo Athletics Association, stage activities performed by volunteers, giving the beneficiaries hope and love, mooncake desserts, themes games like Open the Pamelo Contest, Dressing up the Moon Fairy and the Lantern Making Contest etc, etc.
As this is a rare charitable and humanitarian event, BNC will greatly appreciate if all BNC Members can contribute towards the success of the function in any way possible. We seek your assistance to be present for the Charity Lunch with your children at RM40 per adult and RM25 per child below 12 years old. We want you and your children to mingle and mix with the invited children and to participate in the games and activities. The total profits from this Charity Lunch will be donated to the 2 Homes. If you feel happy, you can also make cash donations to defray the costs for this function. The Charity Lunch Vouchers are immediately available from the BNC Secretatiat and also at the BNC Monthly Dinner Meeting on 24 August 2005. Please participate even if you cannot come to lunch.
We also need volunteers to help us make the function run smoothly as we have to usher and then play host and then distribute souvenir gifts to the participants. There are only 5 members in the Organising Committee.
For all your donations and contributions may you in return receive a hundred fold.
