President’s Welcome Message

Dear BNC Members and Friends,

I would like to take this opportunity to say I feel very honoured to have been elected to this non enviable position. The responsibility is on my shoulders to show my peers that I have something extra to contribute to the betterment of our Business Networking Club.

BNC's greatest asset is in having a core group of highly loyal members who have been with the Club for as long as over 10 years through thick and thin. Their staying power has rubbed off on newer members as they begin to see the benefits of being a longstanding member. However, as in all clubs and associations, the life blood and long term existence is dependent upon new blood being recruited regularly. To this end, it will be the top priority in my list to increase membership as much as possible.

We will be doing our business peers, friends, customers and ourselves a big favour if we introduce them to BNC activities and available business opportunities with the objective of inviting them to become new members. Should every BNC member bring along just ONE guest / prospect to each Dinner Meeting, what a difference it would make to see new and fresh faces every month. But, however, if we expect to see a new face, we will have to firstly bring one along. We should have the right networking attitude and spirit of sincere camaraderie to promote growth and liveliness of the club.

A business networking club without members transacting any business would be a huge irony. Therefore, BNC members are expected to network and not to be bashful about introducing their products to each other, however niche the products or services may be. The BNC member concerned may not need your product but he may have friends who are frantically looking for your product. One of the ways to constantly advertise your products is by participating in the popular Business Synergy (B-Syn) sessions and at the Members' Air Time. Tell the world what you are selling. If you have not sold anything to BNC Members, you have not done enough advertising to the members.

The activities and programme presentation of the Club will see some changes and new items will be introduced with the objective of having more enthusiastic meetings. There will be a lot of fun in addition to new ideas and new businesses as we form joint ventures and affiliations with other networking clubs and organisations. All these are possible as we are fortunate to have a dynamic team of industrious Exco Members who are ever ready to bring BNC to new heights of excellence.

But, however, the Exco Members will not be able to move mountains if BNC members do not lend a helping hand to help themselves. Let us all together make this a new era for BNC. Let us reach for the stars. To quote Napoleon Hill, " Whatever the mind of men can conceive and believe, he can achieve."

In conclusion, I wish you great success and prosperity in all that you do, either by yourself or with BNC.
